If you have been arrested and charged for driving under the influence (DUI), it’s important to retain legal services from our experienced and trustworthy legal team. Our founding attorney, Moe Ahmad, has extensive experience as a trail attorney and former prosecutor, giving his clients the advantage necessary to obtain the results they desire.

Penalties for DUI

According to Illinois DUI laws, if you are arrested for impaired driving due to alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more, marijuana, or another controlled substance, the penalties you will be facing are harsh. The severity of the penalties increase if a driver who is under the influence causes an accident, leading to the injury or death of another individual. If a child was in the vehicle during a DUI arrest, you may be facing additional charges for child endangerment.

First DUI Offense:

  • Maximum sentence of one year in jail
  • Fines of up to $2,500
  • License suspension for a minimum of one year
  • Mandatory community service if BAC >.16
  • Possible ignition interlock device installation

Second DUI Offense:
